Joshua Academy Charter School, 2012-2015

  • Founder of ‘JAM,’ Joshua Academy Music, Music Educator
    • I created a music program for Kindergarten-6th grade, including Instrumental music for 4-6th grade. When I first started working at the school, all we had were a few keyboards, some recorders, and an empty classroom.  Within a few months, we had a classroom set of stands, and enough band instruments for our 6th grade class.  At the conclusion of my teaching at the school, the school had more than enough for all of 5th and 6th grade to have 3 full band classes, including percussion, saxophones, trumpets, flutes, clarinets, keyboards, trombones, baritones, and more.  I also started the singing group ‘Joshua Voices,’ who perform for many public events around the Evansville area.

Private and Group Lesson Music Instructor, 2004-present

  • I’ve taught many, many instruments throughout the years to people of many ages and backgrounds.  I love the one-on-one environment because it gives the teacher a chance to really connect to a student a pull out their true inner potential.  I’ve seen lives change and people inspired by having the opportunity to take lessons.
